Welcome, and thank you for your participation in American Auto Careers™ (AAC). This seminar is designed to prepare you for a successful career in the competitive and lucrative world of auto sales. The auto industry is a huge business with many opportunities. A solid foundation in car sales is integral to a long and satisfying career in this exciting field. Auto companies and agencies are always looking for quality, energetic sales people. If you’re stuck in a minimum wage position or your current job just isn’t cutting it, try something new. There is no investment to make except your willingness to learn and your desire to succeed. The dealership provides the product. You have nothing to lose. You drive to work, park your car, and sell.
Anyone can learn to sell cars. Unfortunately, a lot of dealerships are too busy to show you how to succeed. They pay people to sell cars not to train people to sell cars. They tend to toss you into the ring with little introduction and even less training. You get pounded a few times, and hopefully the bruises are not so bad that you can get back up and try again. But there are some tricks of the trade, some sales techniques that, in addition to a little common sense, can give you a much better chance of succeeding where others have failed. AAC will give you the edge you need to catch on quickly, to understand how a car dealership works, to learn what it takes to close the sale and beware of what it takes to blow it. AAC will help you make the best of your opportunity, not only for your employer but also for yourself. Like so many people today, you are taking the time to embark on a new career. AAC is here to help you succeed.
Our instructors are present and former sales managers, finance managers and top producing sales people. They will share their experiences with you to get you started on your way to a successful career in auto sales. This is not some shortcut or in any way meant to be razzle dazzle or deceiving to potential customers. Just good ole' straight forward selling where you build value in yourself, the product and your company. What you do after the seminar depends on your own desire and personal goals. We recommend that you start applying right away as the new material is fresh in your head AAC cannot guarantee you will succeed, but we can guarantee that you will leave here with the knowledge and tools that have worked for auto sales professionals for decades.
Now is great time to start a career in auto sales. The industry is changing. Car buyers are moving toward newer technologies that make driving fun again and help conserve fuel and protect the environment. Like it or not, the government has mandated that all new cars must get at least 56 miles-per-gallon by 2025. Automakers are pushing a whole new breed of automobiles: hybrids, battery cars, SUVs, mini-SUVS, mini cars, all-wheel-drive vehicles, in addition to the usual sedans, sports cars, pickups, and minivans. Thanks to growth economies in the 1990s and early 2000s most dealerships in America and especially in the Southwest are state-of-the-art facilities with large inventories to move. With the economy finally starting to recover, dealerships are going to need enterprising, energetic people like you to get out there and sell.
So crank up a smile and get ready to sell. It’s up to you. Apply for a position right away. Take advantage of a recovering economy. Start making an above average income. Learn the business and get promoted. Many car salespeople make a very good living, buy homes, raise families, pay for school for their kids, and, yes, even drive nice cars.
AAC’s goal it to help you be “showroom ready,” hit the showroom floor ready to sell and ready to make money. The system you will learn here is used in some way by virtually all auto dealerships. You don’t need any experience to start, and you have nothing to lose. So let’s get started.
